About the Maine Coon.....
The Maine Coon is a hardy natural breed with no inherent problems. They are not generally a vocal cat. Their attitude is that they will
not speak unless they have something to say. However,
when they do have words with you then make no mistake you will know about it!.

The Maine Coon cat is a highly affectionate, intelligent cat that although may appear aloof is simply dignified and pensive. Their affection is usually restricted for family members and to outsiders they may appear cautious or indifferent
The Maine Coon is a no nonsense breed that would prefer to sit and watch others partake of frantic activity. They have a suberbly relaxed attitude to life and will rarely waste energy without good reason. Do not misread into this that they are a 'boring' cat as when one is so wise and intelligent one generally gets everyone else doing all the running around!. Makes sense doesn't it?
The Maine Coon has the quite delightful idiosyncrasy of head butting their owners for affection. They like to be sat on your lap so that they can gently butt your chin with their head. When welcoming you they will often raise themselves on their hind legs to get closer to your face.

The Maine Coon are very sensitive to your moods, will instinctively know when you are sad or happy and will happily blend into the surroundings without making a fuss or drawing attention to themselves.
If you have a cosy image of sitting in front of a roaring fire, on a cold night, curled up with a good book and an affectionate, companionable cat lying next to you then the Maine Coon is the cat for you.
Maine Coon colours are:-
White
Black
Blue
Red
Cream
Brown tabby
The Maine Coon is a semi-longhaired cat and its coat will benefit from weekly grooming.
